Help with different strat wiring

I have a guitar I'm gonna be finishing up here soon, and the guy wants
this wiring. this is all the info he sent me. I'm not the brightest when it
comes to wiring on a electric other than the standard stuff. Anyone know
where I can find a wiring diagram for this description my customer sent
me?

"1 Vol, 1 Tone and 1 Vol for the Bridge pick up - this allows me to active
the bridge pick up with the neck or even all three at once."

I don't have a diagram for that one specifically, but I would call stewmac and ask them if the one you need is in this book

this has been on my "to acquire" list for some time.

I have also found a web site with lots of schematics on it. I will see if I can dig up that URL.

Try Guitarnuts there's a bunch of different custom wiring diagrams. This site is now trying it on with pop-ups, so make sure you disable them first, worth it tho - lots of good info.

John, this website offers the best in electronics diagrams for the person who wants to find any different possibilities. DGB Guitar
Check out 3S07 and 3S06. To see them, you need to click over on the right side of the page where it says "Guitar Wiring" and then you want the "3S SSS Mod" link...
Both of these schematics have the middle pickup doing what your customer wants the bridge pickup to do- so all you need to do is switch the middle and the bridge pickups to get what you want. each of these two schematics work in a slightly different way. Mark Swanson38614.9384722222

thanks dude. Bad thing is I'm a dummy when it comes to schematics. I
can follow an illustrated wire diagram, but I'm lost with that sort of
schematic. I can sort of make sense of some of it, but not enough to
really understand it.

What kind of pickups are you using, John? And are you going to use shielded wire, or single conductor? I might have time to sketch it out for you.
After looking at the schematic some more, I had this idea- if you can post or email me a diagram or drawing of the way you are now wiring your strats -something you are familiar with- then I could change it for the new wiring that you need. I think that would be pretty easy and you'd be able to understand it. Mark Swanson38615.0490393518

I'm using lollar pick-ups. Vintage style ones with single (not shielded)
cloth covered wire.

John,
Just a word of caution... BEFORE you start wiring a new config....check the diagram to make sure it "looks" right. I spent almost a whole day once re-wiring a strat to a diagram that a customer "pulled" off the internet. Once I looked at the diagram I could see that it was flawed. A lot of time ( and wire and solder) could ave been saved it I had looked first to see if the thing made sense. At first I thought maybe the switch was wrong/bad. So I re-did the job from scratch with a new switch. Still... not functioning properly. It was the diagram. Fortunately I was able to find another diagram that did accomplish what the customer wanted...But imagine spending a whole day and then NOT being able to achieve the desired results(and not get paid)? Spend the time trace the diagram to make sure it makes sense. There are some bogus wiring schematics out there. I suppose some one thinks it's funny.

I fell your pain dave. the first time I wired a tele up I pulled a schematic
off the internet, and it did the same thing. The switching was all freaky. I
looked at it a thousand different ways and then started to look at the
actual switching and could see that it was wrong too. It is a pin in the
butt. Thanks for the words of caution.

wants. And it does sound terrific!

Sylvan, I got an error when I used your link- so maybe this one will work. Kinman diagram

It's a PDF file, so you need to click in the "Strat Wirogram" to get it.
This diagram mixes in the NECK pickup, and not the bridge pickup. So you'd need to switch those around, but otherwise John this is just what you are after. Mark Swanson38615.4399537037
